Middleweight: 2012, Dec 10-16
#18 Darren Barker dominated and stopped top-flight Welsh journeyman Kerry Hope Saturday in London, dropping him in the 4th on his way to a stoppage barely a minute into the round. In an alternate universe, this result could help Barker move up the rankings, but since Hope’s only significant victory was a blatant robbery that was later avenged by a stoppage loss to the same fighter, he just doesn’t have the standing to support such a move. No changes to the rankings.
Next Fight: 4/27/2013- vs. #9 Martin Murray
Martinez will look to come back strong from knee surgery when he takes on Martin Murray in Argentina on April 27.

Saturday: Fringe contending undefeated English prospect Billy Joe Saunders tangles with fellow prospect Nick Blackwell, whose only career loss was to Martin Murray. That fight will go down in London.
