Next Fight: 6/29/2013- vs. Unknown Opponent
Nelson is set to return on the Golovkin-Macklin undercard on June 29, but no opponent yet.  He was rumored to fight Joshua Clottey, but those rumors appear false.
19) Michel Soro (4-14)
Last Fight: 1/12/2013- UD12 Kris Carslaw (UNR)
Next Fight: 5/4/2013- vs. Frederic Serre (UNR)

20) Anthony Mundine (4-4)
Last Fight: 1/30/2013- L (UD12) vs. #1 MW Daniel Geale
Next Fight: Unknown
Even if this week’s fights don’t force him out, Mundine will be removed next week unless he schedules a fight at 154, since he hasn’t made 154 in 18 months.

The Week Ahead: The big one this week is #2 Canelo Alvarez vs. #3 Austin Trout.  Many are touting this as being for the legitimate championship, and it is certainly close.  But I subscribe to the time-tested theory that you can’t have a championship fight without the #1 contender being involved.  I didn’t put Carlos Molina in that lofty position lightly.  The only way you could have Molina anywhere below #1 logically would be to accept the robbery disqualification he suffered against James Kirkland as legitimate.  Even so, it is a wonderful fight, and should give us a clear #1 contender.

Earlier that night in Blackpool, England, fringe contender and British champion Brian Rose looks to move up to the world level against fellow fringe contender Joachim Alcine, who comes off a quick knockout loss to Matthew Macklin at 160 last fall.

The same night in Clichy la Garenne, France, local gatekeeper Frank Haroche Horta returns after less than a 3-week layoff against weak Polish journeyman Mariusz Biskupski.

Friday in Atlantic City, undefeated Minnesota prospect Ceresso Fort battles fellow prospect John Jackson of the Virgin Islands (whose only loss was to current #18 Willie Nelson) on Friday Night Fights.
