It’s not official, but all signs point to a February 22 heavyweight fight in Poland against countryman Albert Sosnowski.

As I mentioned last week, William Fernando Souza Bezerra was supposed to have a fight in Brazil on Friday, but as I write this on Wednesday night, it’s still showing as a scheduled fight on Boxrec, and no results can be found online. This is nothing new for Souza Bezerra. He may or may not actually be fighting these fights.
Last week’s #3 Troy Ross falls out this week, having been inactive for a year with nothing scheduled. Everyone ranked below him last week moves up one, and Danie Venter returns at #20. I had originally decided to install Pawel Kolodziej, but he hasn’t made 200 in essentially 18 months. He is technically eligible this week because he has been within 2 pounds of the limit in that time, but even the extra 6 months that gives him will expire next week. Giacobbe Fragomeni ascends to #10 for the first time since I think early last year.
